The Chalet's location could not be better for getting away from it all, nestled in the mountains at 1100 metres in rolling farmland and accessed by a long private drive. Although the chalet is completely secluded, Rougemont is only 10 minutes (2.7 miles) away by car. Gstaad and Chateau d'Oex are also within easy reach by car or train. Geneva Airport is only 1.5 hours away by car and call also be accessed directly by train from Rougemont.
The chalet is an authentic, rustic Swiss farmhouse, dating from 1866 and retaining all of its original features and charm. The chalet has 3 double bedrooms and 1 twin room as well as sleeping space for children in the eaves. It has 2 sitting rooms, one dining room, 2 bathrooms and a toilet. The road to the chalet winds up the mountain from Rougemont. After 2 miles there is then a 0.6 mile private track to the chalet - this requires a 4 x 4 vehicle in the winter months.

In winter, it is only 3 miles from the ski lift in Rougemont (Videmanette, 2200 metres) which provides access to the fantastic Gstaad ski region which is comprised of over 70 lifts, and 150 miles (250 kilometers) of trails. In spring, summer and autumn it is perfect for all sports such as hiking, biking, paragliding, swimming in mountain lakes etc. With more than 300 km of signposted and well maintained trails and paths, the holiday region of Gstaad is a veritable paradise for hikers. There is even summer skiing on the Diablerets glacier. In addition, there are many cultural events such as the Menuhin Festival in Gstaad.
